Emotional dampeners, are they useful?

Have you ever heard of emotional dampeners? Maybe, maybe not. Guess what, we all have them, some people use them more than others.

So what are emotional dampeners?

They are emotional states that dampen our ability to recognize what spiritual guidance we are being given.

We are always being guided on our journey throughout life. When we are in a good and positive state we recognize the messages, intuitive choices and markers along our path.

When we experience a helpless emotional state, we will still receive messages and markers on our path, but our ability to recognise them and intuitively choose our path becomes dampened.

Why am I telling you this is, because even in the darkest hours we are supported, whether we consciously know it or not. LIghted pathKnow that as the light begins to shine in your life you will recognize that the path is being lit just for you.

When is going backwards actually going forwards.

For about 5 months now, I have been training 6 days a week to walk the Camino.  An 800klm walk across Spain.  Now that sounds fantastic.  But it hasn’t always been 6 days,  there are times when I have been away overseas working, so when I have returned, I have jumped back into to my 6 day a week routine.  It was developing my fitness, stamina and muscle memory.

We are now down to the last 2 weeks before we go on the big journey and my training has taken a 180 degree turn backwards.

I have been away overseas for 2 weeks and was planning to jump back into my training give or take a day from jet lag, I found myself doing the exact opposite.

Nothing…….My whole body seized up.  I couldn’t move. I thought how am I going to carry a backpack and walk 800klms for 2 months with a body like this.

There were a couple of things I could do.  Panic, get really upset, cry lots, or even push through.  I decided none of these were useful.  I kept hearing a voice inside my head saying “Trust you’ve done the work”.

I decided to go a get a massage to ease my tense muscles.  OMG.   I am quite sensitive at the best of time, but I knew I needed to make sure all the knots in my body were released.

Pretzel

She tried to bend me like a pretzel, but I was like a metal pole that wouldn’t bend.

I would have thought that after the massage I would be freely moving, no I was wrong.  Still moving backwards.

I was layed up for 3 days sore, aching, feeling sick, with a nice deep chesty cough but then also not layed up because I was sore and aching and couldn’t get comfortable enough to sleep.

Again I keep hearing a voice saying,  “Trust you’ve done the work”.

So the universe has conspired to move me backwards, so I can move forwards on my journey and they are asking me to trust that going backwards is going forwards right now.

So I am moving backwards for now and I am okay with that.  I am not doing anything besides have another couple of massages to totally loosen my body up and trust deeply I have done the work!

Static is just noise

Have you ever tried to tune the radio in and tried to make sense of the static?

old-radioYou just cant.  Static is just noise that is being picked up by the radio or TV,  it contains no words.

Sometimes in life, we can get caught in the static, thinking it is important information that we are meant to hear.  Or we might think this person is involved in something we need to be involved in too.

Static is just that, static, noise that is not important in our lives.

television_staticHow many times have you tried to make sense of what friend is saying?  Get your head around the characters involved.  Been empathetic to a persons  situation and found it took a lot of time, effort and energy and then you thought, “why did I do that for?”  You have gotten involved in their lives but to you it is just static.

So pay attention, the important things in your life you will recognise and want to do things about.

shutterstock_89371237Be discerning, focus, because you can tell the difference between static and a message that is important for you, it will be as clear as a bell.

Trust

Trust is an amazing tool that we all have.  Do you trust in yourself?  Do you trust in yourself as much as you could?

trustTrust has a flow on effect in our lives.  If you trust, all things that you need will come to you.

i-want-more-111795-530-530Trust doesn’t come from ‘ego wants’.  Trust comes from ‘your highest good needs’ and there is a difference.

Everyday whilst I have been away in the UAE I have trusted.  I trusted what I needed would come to me.  Whether I was reading the newspaper or shopping for some food, I found that examples I could use in my sessions based on activities in the UAE arrived for me.   I purchased my special UAE celebratory sunglasses which I used as an example of linear creativity.

Dubai winning the 2020 Expo bid was a great example of strategic management. The rainy weather over here was also another example.  An article in the newspaper about an Emirate citizen that lived without power many years ago was used for creative and innovative thinking, how would you cope if you didn’t have power now.

5-everything-you-needIt is powerful to trust and know that what you need will come your way.

So do you trust?  Watch out that your trust is not dusted with doubt.  It only works if your trust is trust only!

Once you step into the flow of trust it is amazing, powerful, supportive and loving.

What is a spiritual home?

Do you know where your spiritual home is? Do you know what it would be like to be there?

homesweet homeA spiritual home is where you and your soul feel comfortable.

It is a place where life flows.

In the flowIt is where doors are unlocked.

It is a place of peacefulness but not outside of you, but on the inside of you.

It is where your heart can open and shine.

It is where time means nothing.

It is where you are authentically you.

authentic selfIt is where you are inspired.

It is where you are truthful to yourself and others.

Have you found your spiritual home?

Everyone can, all you have to do is, be open, ask yourselves the statements above, see if the answers are yes.  If so, you have found your spiritual home.

Living in my spiritual home, Tracy xx

Do you follow the breadcrumbs?

Like Hansel and Gretel leaving a trail of breadcrumbs to follow, spirit leaves us a trail or breadcrumbs or messages along our path to follow.

Do you follow the breadcrumbs?

Do you follow the breadcrumbs?

Sometimes something else eats the breadcrumbs and so they appear not to be there. Sometimes we just don’t see the breadcrumbs right under our feet. Sometimes we don’t know that spirit has left us breadcrumbs to follow.

How do you follow the breadcrumbs?

Follow your instinctsTrust that spirit is guiding you on your path.

Trust that spirit is leaving you breadcrumbs or messages along the way.

Trust that what you notice is spirit tapping you on the shoulder to say, here is a breadcrumb (message).  It could be a bird, it could be cloud, it could be a song on the radio, it could be the wind.  Notice what you notice…..

So what now with the breadcrumbs?

Look for the breadcrumbs, look for the signposts.

thiswayTrust it is a message for you.

Write them down.

Think about what it means to you.

Trust that you will know what it means to you.

They will always be there even if you don’t notice.

Enjoy seeing the breadcrumbs along your path.  Tracy xx

Do you really feel yourself?

Now that sounds a little rude doesn’t it?  Do you really feel yourself?  Do you really feel what is going on for you? Are things right for you, or not right for you?  Are you living your life?

Do you feel yourself

Do you feel yourself

Do you feel your truth?

Sometimes people can go through life numb, or ignoring their feelings and messages.  Sometimes people are so focused on others, they forget to feel what is right for themselves.  Sometimes people don’t know where to even start to look about how they feel.  Sometimes people don’t want to look or feel.

how_to_feel_good_about_yourself_everyday_1Feeling your truth is about really connecting with yourself.  It is about living your truth in each and every moment.

When you live your truth, you will be making statements to yourself like:

  • This is right for me
  • I am happy.
  • I am upset.
  • I love myself.
  • I am jealous.
  • I am living my life.
  • I am scared.
  • I am trusting in what comes to me.
  • I have surrendered.

You can ask yourself these statements as questions.  Feel the answers. Your heart, your body, your soul will tell you the answers.   They will tell you your truth.

Feel your truth

Feel your truth

Don’t turn off your feelings.  Don’t numb yourself to your truth, both good and not so good.  Being in your truth is powerful, brave and courageous.

Truthfully yours Tracy xx

Nourishing your soul

Do you nourish your soul each day?

Or are you too busy in your life to even consider this?

Prayer & ritual

Prayer & ritual

What is nourishing your soul?  Is it as simple as eating some special food, or doing a meditation, or is it achieved through prayer and ritual?

Many people live their lives through words such as, have to, must do and need to.

They choose to do things because they are duty bound.  They may feel fulfilled in these duties.  They may feel the need to control how they live their lives, through food, exercise and through the types of material things they own.  But are they nourished, are their souls nourished?

Nourishing your soul is much deeper than eating special food, mediation or undertaking prayer or ritual.

Nourishing your soulNourishing your soul could mean getting lost in something that makes you truly happy.

Nourishing your soul could mean, spending time with a loved one.

Nourishing your soul, could mean doing something to help someone else, just because you could.

Peaceful heartNourishing your soul is about truly living your life, it is about being in the moment, surrendering, trusting and allowing.  Nourishing your soul means not getting bogged down in troubles, rising above it all and seeing it for what it is.  Nourishing your soul, is having a peaceful heart in all that you do.

With a nourished soul – Tracy xx

Do you stay or do you go?

How many times have you decided to choose to be with other people, when really you should have stayed at home and been by yourself?

I know when I have chosen to go out rather than choosing to stay at home, I have gotten a headache afterwards, or been really exhausted the next day.

If you have chosen to be with people, there might be a need to be engaging with others.

Masks we put on

Masks we put on

You may put on masks to help you cope such as:

  • “funny you”
  • “entertaining you”
  • “wise you”
  • “parent you”
  • “party person you”
  • “friend you”
Taking off your mask

Taking off your mask

These masks have a part to play in your life, but not when they are at the expense of choosing to just be you.

By choosing to stay in, you may well find that being on your own is rejuvenating.  Sometimes being on your own allows you to just be you and that is why a little voice inside your head says, “no thanks” to an invitation to be with people.  However, at times we can ignore the voice. Our close partners generally are the only other people who really allow us to just be ourselves.

So next time you are asked to join people, tune into yourself and listen, hear what is right for you and ask “Do I stay or do I go now?”

Just be with yourself

Just be with yourself

Take time to just be with yourself, it is a great thing to do.

Can you find yourself on the other side of the globe?

This week as I travelled to the other side of the globe, I felt like I had lost myself.

Have you found yourself on the other side of the globe?

Have you found yourself on the other side of the globe?

After my first day of work over here, I went into doubt.  I asked myself these questions:

  • Did I really know what I was doing?
  • Did I have enough activities?
  • Would my customers be disappointed?
  • Should I really be doing this?
  • Should I be home, safe and sound?
Who am I?

Who am I?

After an evening of working hard, followed by a sleepless night.  I found the answer.

My answer was:

  • Trust in me.
  • I have all the skills I need.
  • I know that I have been doing this for a long time.
  • I have been given this opportunity for a reason.
Trust yourself

Trust yourself

Travelling overseas to the Middle East is part of my spiritual journey, I don’t have all the answers about what the whole of my journey means, just yet.  What I do know, is that sometimes we are given journeys to develop.  Develop things like trust, knowing, and believing.  Journeys to find yourself.

I have found myself, or more of myself on the other side of the globe.

Are you finding yourself, anywhere you are?

See you on the path of self discovery, Tracy xx
