Layers, layers and more layers

Have you ever noticed how many layers there are in all things, including ourselves.

Those layers create depth, colour, contrast, detail, foundations, time, emotions, strength and so much more.

A music composer may create a film score by firstly creating themes, then building upon those to create emotion, story telling, texture, depth and contrast, through different orchestrations, layered through different instruments played.

An artist may paint a picture by blocking colours, then building up those colours, contrasting of light and shade, telling a story through colour, contrast, detail, texture and technique.

Organisations have layers built through structures, hierarchies. service provision, people in roles, creating achievements, profits, making mistakes, losses, just to name a few layers.

The earth is filled with layers including crust, mantle, outer core, inner core, but also the layers of atmosphere, soil, rock, foliage, forests, animals, buildings, roads, people and there are many more.

People are also layered.

Our layers maybe our past, parents, relationships, children, jobs, emotions, experiences, beliefs, roles, these are just a few there are many more layers that make us who we are.

If you find you are stuck or you have expectations of how fast your journey of evolution should or could be, I would suggest that it may well be because you have not considered all the layers that are involved. Sometimes we may think we are clearing and healing a situation but there is more involved that just the layer that is on the surface. We must dig deeper.

My advice is recognize the layers, all the layers involved. It will be a surface issue and it will be much more than that. Be in the moment of every moment. Let go of expectations and allow your journey to unfold in all the layers of you. You will begin to understand the depth of who you really are.

Real friends – who are they?

Do you have real friends in your life?
Do you recognize the real friends from the acquaintances?
Do you recognize the friends from the duty relationships?
Do you recognize the friends from the people who just need something from you?

Real friends aren’t around every day, sometimes you don’t see them for days, months, or even years, but when you do see them, it is like as though you saw them yesterday.

Real friends don’t blame, they don’t try and make you feel guilty. Real friends accept you for you.

Real friends love you, listen to you, laugh with you and you with them.

Life is simple with real friends.
Relationships flow with real friends.

If you are forcing friendships, feeling guilty in your friendships, feeling unbalanced in your friendships, then these are not real friends. It might be something to think about….

I have a few real friendships that have lasted time and distance.

I treasure them. Yes I can only count them on 1 hand and I am happy about that, as they are real friends.

Emotional dampeners, are they useful?

Have you ever heard of emotional dampeners? Maybe, maybe not. Guess what, we all have them, some people use them more than others.

So what are emotional dampeners?

They are emotional states that dampen our ability to recognize what spiritual guidance we are being given.

We are always being guided on our journey throughout life. When we are in a good and positive state we recognize the messages, intuitive choices and markers along our path.

When we experience a helpless emotional state, we will still receive messages and markers on our path, but our ability to recognise them and intuitively choose our path becomes dampened.

Why am I telling you this is, because even in the darkest hours we are supported, whether we consciously know it or not. LIghted pathKnow that as the light begins to shine in your life you will recognize that the path is being lit just for you.

Re-entry and reconnection

Walking the wayMy husband and I just have returned from walking the “Way of St James”, an 850klm pilgrimage across Spain for 2 months..  Each day we peacefully put one foot in front of the other and enjoyed the slow pace and simple life that a pilgrimage is.

ReentryNow upon returning home, we are in re-entry and reconnection mode.

Does home feel like home?  Yes it does and no it doesn’t .

As we re-enter our city and commence shopping and doing the things that needed to be done, do we feel comfortable?  No we don’t.  It is faster, noiser, more complex than we have been used to over the last two months.

As we reconnect with family and friends, is it the same or different, are we the same or different?  No we different and yet the same still.

So how do you cope with re-entry?

Slowly, is my answer.  There is an easing back into life.

It takes time. It takes a reconciliation about what you need to take from your journey and incorporate into your life now. Red wine in SpainWe enjoyed drinking chilled red wine in Spain every day, so now our red wine is in the fridge.  We enjoyed drinking coffee everyday, so we have commenced drinking coffee and are easing back into drinking tea.

There is an easing in of new ways of living and an easing into the old ways of living, but now with new perceptions and wisdoms of the old ways.

How long will re-entry or reconnection take?

As long as it takes, by putting one foot in front of the other.

Did you see the passerby?

Do you take notice of all the things that pass you by in life?

Do you notice the passerby?

Do you notice the passerby?

It could be people, places, things, but it also could be your experiences, sensations and emotions.

These things that pass you by, occur because you are meant to experience them.  If you don’t notice them, then you have missed an opportunity.  An opportunity to learn, grow, experience, love, live and connect.  How many opportunities have you missed?

Sometimes we are so caught up going somewhere, or being something, rather than experiencing the journey of our lives.

Experience life

Experience life

Seeing a passerby, means focusing on the moment, being present, noticing all things around you and lastly its means living life at a slower pace.

Maybe it is time to let go of the outcome, the goal or what is next, and focus on the here and now.  Consider these options:

  • What if you walked slower?
  • What if you stopped to ponder?
  • What if you saw the colours of life?
  • What if you felt everything?
  • What if you saw meaning in all things?
Slow down and experience life

Slow down and experience life

Try today, being slower, noticing more, seeing life in full colour, experiencing every minute of your life, feeling all your emotions and savouring the tastes of life.  You might be surprised at how much wisdom you gain.

Living life moment by moment, Tracy xx

Do you really feel yourself?

Now that sounds a little rude doesn’t it?  Do you really feel yourself?  Do you really feel what is going on for you? Are things right for you, or not right for you?  Are you living your life?

Do you feel yourself

Do you feel yourself

Do you feel your truth?

Sometimes people can go through life numb, or ignoring their feelings and messages.  Sometimes people are so focused on others, they forget to feel what is right for themselves.  Sometimes people don’t know where to even start to look about how they feel.  Sometimes people don’t want to look or feel.

how_to_feel_good_about_yourself_everyday_1Feeling your truth is about really connecting with yourself.  It is about living your truth in each and every moment.

When you live your truth, you will be making statements to yourself like:

  • This is right for me
  • I am happy.
  • I am upset.
  • I love myself.
  • I am jealous.
  • I am living my life.
  • I am scared.
  • I am trusting in what comes to me.
  • I have surrendered.

You can ask yourself these statements as questions.  Feel the answers. Your heart, your body, your soul will tell you the answers.   They will tell you your truth.

Feel your truth

Feel your truth

Don’t turn off your feelings.  Don’t numb yourself to your truth, both good and not so good.  Being in your truth is powerful, brave and courageous.

Truthfully yours Tracy xx

There’s no place like home

It doesn’t matter whether you are a world traveller or you have never been outside your home town.  There is no place like home.

There's no place like home

There’s no place like home

But where is home?

You can find it in these places:

  • Home is where you are loved.
  • Home is where your heart is filled with joy.
  • Home is where your feet feel like they take root into mother earth.
  • Home is where you lay your head to rest and you are at peace.

Have you found your home?

It is anywhere where you are, you just have to feel its energy within you.

Feeling my home,  Tracy xx

Do your feet really touch the ground?

Have you ever been on a holiday or worked overseas? Whilst flying your feet really don’t touch the ground until you arrive at your destination.

Do you feet really touch the ground

Do you feet really touch the ground

When we walk around in our daily lives here at home, we are connecting with the energies of our land and our ancestors.  Our parents, grandparents and maybe even great grandparents have toiled the land here in Australia in whatever form of work they did.   Their blood and sweat have been left in the earth here in Australia.  So we are feeling that energy in our land and of our ancestors.

feet

When you go to another country, you are connecting with another person’s land, and another person’s ancestors.  However you may also be connecting with your land and your ancestors of a past life as well.

Another landThe energy is different, it will feel different if you are sensitive enough to notice.   Maybe you have never really even thought about it before.

When I returned to Australia the last time I was away, I felt a bubbling within my feet as I touched Australian earth, it felt like I was recalibrating with my life, the land and ancestors here.

Next time you go somewhere allow your feet to really touch the ground and feel the land, you might be surprised.

What ship is your relationship on?

Relationships are funny, we are in them from birth and have no choice.  Initially we are someone’s child, then maybe a sister or brother and even a cousin.  Then as life goes on, we move into other types of relationships that of a, friend, girlfriend, boyfriend, lover, partner, spouse, parent and maybe even divorced or separated.

Your relation SHIPS

Your relation SHIPS

Some of these relationships are easy to sail upon.  They are meant to be life long.  Some happen for a period of time or for a lesson.   Some relationships just happen in passing.

How do we determine the difference?

Relationships that are meant to last, are with people you are meant to connect with, they take the time for you and you for them.

When a relationship becomes difficult, one way or they don’t speak to you anymore, it means that these relationships are not meant to be or are finished with. They are the lesson relationships or passing relationships.

Pulling the relation SHIP

Pulling the relation SHIP

Sometimes we want to hang on to those difficult relationships, because we thought we were friends, or because we don’t want to face up to the reality of the situation, that the relationship is over.  The more we try and hang on, the more it can feel like dragging the ship backwards against the current.

Now is the time to be honest with yourself and let go of those relationships that are over and begin the smooth sailing of your life.

Plain sailing relation SHIPS

And remember, connect with the people who want to connect with you, you will know who those people are.

Are you scared of scarcity?

Scarcity means we don’t have enough, money, food, water or love.

Are you scared of scarcity?

Are you scared of scarcity?

Are you scared of scarcity?

What I have found travelling through outback Australia is that the indigenous cultures, dealt with scarcity in ways that meant they were never in scarcity.

So how did they do that?

Abundance

Abundance

They honoured the resources that were in abundance or in scarce supply.  They only ever used as much as they needed, no more.  They knew that in abundant times, not to take all that was there, so as to provide opportunities for regrowth for the next season or the next year, or for those that came after.

We in the city have become complacent with our resources.  We have an abundance of water, food, for some money and others love.  When we don’t honour those resources we have and when they become scarce we can become scared.  What will we do?

Honouring and respecting all your resources

Honouring and respecting all your resources

My answer is this, live with honour for all that you have, all the resources in your life, such as water, food, money and love.  Honour them, use them for what you need, prepare for times of scarcity when abundance abounds.

When we honour and respect our resources we can live comfortably in times of scarcity and in times of abundance.  A lesson well worth learning.

With honour and respect Tracy xx
